Three Months

Three months, dude! This last month with you has been so much fun. I keep thinking you're going to get chubby, but so far you're just our tall skinny guy. I don't know how, but you keep getting cuter. You are getting to be more and more fun and we love getting to know more about you every day.

We took you on your second lodge trip over Thanksgiving, and while we were out there your little personality just exploded! There were a lot of people there (this was with dad's extended family) and we were nervous that you would be overwhelmed the whole time. It took you a whole 5 minutes to get over the overwhelmed part to realize that you LOVE people. You would go to anyone who wanted to hold you, and if they knew how to talk to a baby at all than you were just a smiling fool. As Grandma Shirley said multiple times "Never was there a happier baby." We also caught your first giggle on video while we were out there! Unfortunately I can't figure out how to load it on here. :(

Sweet cuddles with daddy

We love those giggles but we still have to work pretty hard to get a real laugh as opposed to just a big open mouth smile. We keep hoping that peekaboo or tickling will do the trick, but so far you don't really get it and just stare at us like we're crazy. haha.

You love pretty girls. Girls with high, sweet voices and pretty smiles make you so happy.

You recently discovered your tongue, and for the last week or so you do the silliest thing where it seems like you're biting/sucking on it. Your mouth is pulled tight in a monkey face and you are just so concentrated on whatever is going on inside your mouth. Haha its pretty funny.

You get stronger every day. You love to stand up on your legs now. You can hold your head up during tummy time better than any baby I know. You have rolled from tummy to back a few times, but that is it. You know how to do it, but you would rather just hold your head up until you get tired and then fuss until I roll you over.

You love your play mat! It's so cute to watch you just lay under it and yell at the toys above your head. Mr. Octopus is your favorite and you get excited to see him every time we lay you down to play. You've also got more control of your hands now and love to hit the toys.

Smiling at Mr. Octopus
You looove your hands. You often have your hands clasped in front of you like you are ready to discuss very important business. It's hilarious to imagine what you'd be saying if you could talk.

"Alright mom, I think I'm old enough to discuss incorporating chocolate milk into my diet."
When I am putting you down for sleep, you sure like to fight it. Sometimes you cry, but lately you just sort of yell and tell me your woes. You've sure got a lot of personality for a little guy.

A picture of you yelling. It really is so funny.

Still as beautiful as ever.
Well it has been an awesome month. We are so excited to celebrate Christmas with you this next month!

xoxo
